Starling Lodge

Starling Lodge is a cabin on our farm, Wallace Lane Farm. It's detached, so you've got your own space. The land here is about 23 acres, so you can wander about a bit straight from the door.

It's open plan inside, sleeps four, with one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean. The main feature is the wood burner, which is nice to have on in the evenings.

Outside there's a deck with a barbecue, and a private hot tub. The view from the tub looks out towards Scotland and the Solway Plains.

We're on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The nearest proper villages are Caldbeck, Hesket Newmarket and Uldale. They're a short drive away and have pubs. The closest shop and pub is about three miles.

For a bigger day out, Keswick is about half an hour's drive. It's the main town for outdoor shops and cafes. Carlisle is also about 30 minutes. It's a city, so it's good for a change of pace, with the castle and museums.

The beach at Allonby is roughly 18 miles, so it's doable for a trip.

Things here: wifi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the lodge. We have an electric vehicle charger and bike storage if you need it. A cot and highchair are available. Pets are allowed.

This place can be taken with some of the other cabins on the farm if you're in a bigger group.
