Robin's Lodge is a wooden cabin on a site just north of the Lake District, near a place called Brocklebank. It's one of several on the same land.
It sleeps four, but honestly it’s best for a couple or a family with young kids. There’s one bedroom and one shower room. It's open plan inside, so the living area and kitchen are all one space. It has a wood burner, which is nice when it’s cold.
Outside, there’s a decked area with a hot tub. The views look out west over fields towards the Solway Firth and Scotland. It gets very dark at night, so you can see a lot of stars if it's clear.
The site has about 23 acres of grounds to walk around. You’ll see rabbits and lots of birds. The laundry room is shared with other cabins and takes coins.
You’re about a ten-minute drive from the northern edge of the Lake District National Park. The Northern Fells are quieter than the central lakes. Caldbeck village is three miles away and has a good pub that does food, plus a shop and a cafe.
Carlisle is 13 miles to the east if you need city things or a big supermarket. The Solway Coast is nearby for beaches and walks. Hadrian’s Wall is about an hour's drive away.
In terms of things here: there's parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a TV, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
