Rosedale is in Aughertree, north west of Keswick. It's a two bedroom cottage that sleeps three. One bathroom. It's attached to our farmhouse.
The main thing is the view. You look out over fields towards the Skiddaw range. You can see the sun set over the Solway Firth. On a clear day you can see the Galloway hills in Scotland.
It's a 500-acre farm. You're welcome to walk around our fields. We've got rare breed sheep. Red squirrels visit the garden sometimes. There are deer around.
The cottage is rated 5 Star Gold. It means it's well equipped and comfortable. There's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You're in the Lake District National Park, and it's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are footpaths from the door. For bigger walks, the northern fells are a short drive away.
Keswick is about seven miles. It's on Derwentwater. Lots of shops and places to eat there, and a leisure pool. Bassenthwaite Lake is six miles away, that's where the osprey watch is at Dodd Wood. The Lakes Distillery is about seven miles, they do tours and food.
The nearest shop is in Uldale, two miles. There's a pub there that does good food. Ireby is a mile and a half away, they've got a cosy pub with a log fire. Caldbeck village is four miles, with a few more shops and tea rooms.
No pets, sorry.
