Rosedean is in Ireby, Cumbria. It's a quiet village just outside the Lake District National Park boundary. The border is literally about twenty paces from the front door.
The place sleeps six. It's mostly on the ground floor, which is useful. There are three bedrooms. Two are downstairs: one kingsize and one double with its own shower room. There's also a family bathroom on that floor. Upstairs is a twin room.
You get three bathrooms in total, which is handy with a full house. The living area is open plan, with a kitchen, dining table, and sofas around a wood burner. There's a Smart TV. The kitchen has what you need.
The Sun Inn is down the road, a couple of minutes' walk. It's a proper country pub. The village has a farm shop for basics.
Location is the main thing. You're about a 10-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick and Cockermouth are each about 20 minutes away by car. For walking, you can start right from the door into the northern fells, or drive to places like Skiddaw easily.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
