Farmhouse Cottage
Farmhouse Cottage is in Brocklebank, north of the main Lake District bit. It's converted from part of the old farmhouse here. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished. There's a wood burner, and a hot tub in the private garden. The garden looks out over our fields. You're welcome to walk in the 23 acres we have. You'll see a lot of sheep. The view goes out to the Solway Firth and you can see Scotland on a clear day.
The cottage is on the edge of the Lake District National Park, but the northern, quieter part. The coast is about sixteen miles. Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall are within half an hour's drive if you fancy that. The village of Caldbeck is close. It's a nice village with a pub and a shop.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. Kitchen, living area, table. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. It's got underfloor heating. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Parking is right outside. We have an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to three dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
We have other cottages and lodges on the same land if you're coming with more people. This one is separate, semi-detached with one other cottage.
