Skylark Lodge
Skylark Lodge is on our farm, Wallace Lane Farm, up in Brocklebank. It's a detached lodge, one of the newer ones up here. You're on a bit of a hill, so you get the views. You can see the fells and, on a clear day, the Scottish hills in the distance.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms so no queueing. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on one level, which is handy.
The decking is enclosed and private. There's a hot tub out there. You can sit in it and look at the sky. We're on 23 acres of land, so you're welcome to walk around the fields. You'll see plenty of wildlife.
The location is good. You're just north of the Lake District National Park, so it's quieter than the central bits. The village of Caldbeck is a few minutes' drive. It has a pub, a shop, and a tea room. The nearest proper pub and shop is about two and a half miles away.
From here, you can easily get to the northern fells for walking. The Solway Coast is about 17 miles. Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall aren't far if you fancy a bit of history. National Trust Lake District has good walking ideas. For the coast, Visit Solway is useful.
In terms of what's here: it's all open plan inside. There's a woodburning stove, TV, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside, and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to three dogs. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
