Woodpecker Cottage
Woodpecker Cottage is in Brocklebank, which is just north of the Lake District National Park. It's a detached stone cottage on a farm with some other holiday places nearby. You've got twenty-three acres of land to walk around, mainly fields with a few woods.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's in good order and comfortable. The hot tub is outside on the patio.
It's very quiet here. The nearest pub, shop, and a place that does food are about two and a half miles away in Hesket Newmarket. Caldbeck village is a bit further, maybe four miles. That has a couple of pubs, a tea room, and a village shop.
You're well placed for the quieter northern fells, like Skiddaw and Blencathra. The coast at Allonby is about sixteen miles. Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall are within half an hour's drive.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to three dogs. There's an electric vehicle charger.
