This is Treehouse Cabin. It's in Brocklebank, Cumbria, just north of the Lake District proper.
It's a cabin on a bit of scaffolding built into the trees, so it feels like a treehouse. The deck hangs over a stream. It's detached and you get your own private hot tub on the deck.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and has what you need. I should mention, the access is via a set of external wooden steps up to the deck. It's fine, but if you have mobility issues or very small kids, it's something to be aware of.
The cabin is on a small camping site with other holiday places, but it's private. You have 23 acres of land to walk around. It's quiet up here. You get views out to the Solway Firth and across to Scotland on a clear day.
We're on the edge of the Lake District, but the northern fells here are a lot quieter. You can walk straight out from the cabin. The pretty village of Caldbeck is a short drive. It's got a pub, a shop, and a tea room.
If you want to explore, the coast at Allonby is about 25 minutes by car. Carlisle is half an hour away for shopping. Hadrian's Wall is within a 30 minute drive too.
Inside, it's got a wood burner, TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the steps, and an electric vehicle charger. The garden bit is enclosed, and there's a BBQ and bike storage.
We allow dogs, up to three.
