Osprey Lodge is in Brocklebank, north of Keswick. It’s a detached cabin, part of a small campsite.
It sleeps two people in one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s modern, well insulated and comfortable.
The main room is open plan: sofa, wood burner, table and kitchen. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Outside there’s a good-sized wooden balcony with a view over fields. That’s also where your private hot tub is. You can park right next to it. There’s an electric vehicle charger.
The place is on part of a working farm. You have about 23 acres of fields to walk around, which is nice. The campsite itself is quiet.
It’s about fifteen minutes in the car to Keswick. That’s where you’ll find most of the shops, places to eat, and the launch point for walks. You’re near the Caldbeck Fells, which are good walking but a bit less busy than the central lakes. The north-western edge of the Lake District National Park is about half a mile away.
If you drive about twenty five minutes west, you get to the Solway Coast. It's flat and good for birdwatching. The Scottish hills are right across the water.
Here are some high authority sites for maps and things to do: Lake District National Park and Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The property details say pets are allowed. It says three, but that's a site-wide rule. For the lodge, two well-behaved dogs are fine. There’s a charge for them. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
