Ellarbeck Cottage
Ellarbeck Cottage is on our farm in Whelpo. It's a working farm, sheep and beef. The cottage used to be a barn, so it's got those old beams. You can walk straight out onto the fells from the door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. There's a wood burner and a dishwasher. The parking is right outside.
You're up a single-track lane. The roads around here aren't fenced, so you need to drive carefully for the sheep. The views are good.
Caldbeck village is about two and a half miles away. It's a quiet place with a couple of pubs that do food and a small shop. Keswick is about a 15-minute drive. That's where you'll find Derwentwater and most of the boat hires and museums. Bassenthwaite Lake is nearby too.
You're on the edge of the National Park. Carlisle and the Scottish border are about sixteen miles if you fancy a change.
The cottage has WiFi, TV, and bedding is provided. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring two dogs. The garden is yours to use.
