Old Saddlers Cottage
Old Saddlers Cottage is in Ireby, a quiet village. It's an old cottage that's been extended, so it's got the old bits at the front and a newer bit at the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy if you're sharing with friends. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and turn a corner.
There's a pub right across the road. It does good food. The village is quiet, you get tractors going through sometimes.
The back garden is mostly patio with a bit of lawn. There's a table and chairs out there. From the breakfast room you can open the doors straight onto it.
Inside, there's a living room with a wood burner at the front. The kitchen is in the middle. Out the back is the new part, the breakfast room, which is where everyone tends to end up. There's also a boot room for coats and walking boots.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Literally, the border is about twenty paces up the road. You can walk straight out from the door. For driving, Bassenthwaite Lake is about ten minutes. Keswick is about twenty. Cockermouth is fifteen.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. Parking for two cars on the drive. No pets, sorry.
