Old Saddlers Cottage is in Ireby, a small village north of Keswick. It's a traditional stone cottage that's been extended, so it's fairly spacious.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs with the family bathroom. Downstairs, there's a third bedroom with its own bathroom. There's also a second bathroom down there. So there are three bathrooms in total, which is handy. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so a bit steeper than a modern house.
On the ground floor there's a living room with a wood burner. The kitchen is well-equipped. The back of the house is a modern extension with patio doors leading to a garden. It's enclosed, good for kids and dogs. There's parking on site for two cars.
Ireby is quiet. The village pub, The Fox and Hounds, is directly opposite. They do food. For a bigger shop, Cockermouth is about four miles away.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park here. The actual border is a few paces down the road. There are walks straight from the door into the Northern Fells. Bassenthwaite Lake is a ten-minute drive. Keswick is about eight miles.
