Holly Bank
Holly Bank is a detached bungalow in Bassenthwaite. It's up on a bit of a slope, so you get a clear view out over the valley to the lake and the fells. You can see Skiddaw from there.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It’s been done up recently, so everything is in good order. Most rooms have those views.
Inside, there's a living room with leather sofas and a fire. The kitchen has a table, and there's a separate dining room too. There's a games room that also has a desk and a sofa in it, if someone needs to work. And there's a boot room, which is handy for dogs and wet coats.
Outside, there's a garden and a patio area with a BBQ. There's also a fenced exercise area if you've brought a dog. You can take up to three.
You're about a five minute walk from two pubs, The Sun Inn and The Castle Inn. They both do food and drink. There's a bus stop at The Castle Inn if you need it.
Keswick and Cockermouth are each about a ten minute drive away for shops, cafes, and the usual things. You're close to Bassenthwaite Lake, and the osprey viewpoint is just down the road.
The place is set up for walking and cycling. There's bike storage. For a wider day out, you're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The northern fells are easily accessible.
Facilities wise: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking is on site.
