This is number 3 Ladstock Hall. It's in Thornthwaite, about three miles from Keswick.
The building was a country hotel a long time ago. It's been split into a few places now. This one is a two bedroom cottage. It's spacious. We've tried to keep it well furnished and the facilities are modern. Everything's included. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
You get two terraces. The one at the front looks out over the Skiddaw fells. The view is very good. The back terrace goes straight onto a bridleway. You can walk from there into Thornthwaite village in a few minutes. Braithwaite is about a mile one way. Whinlatter Forest is an uphill walk the other way.
If you're walking or cycling, you're in a good spot. The Newlands Valley and Borrowdale are right there. Bassenthwaite Lake is close. People go there to see the ospreys. You can swim or take a boat out if you want to.
There's a locked store outside for bikes. Parking is on site. No pets, I'm afraid.
For local information, the Visit Keswick & The North Lakes site is useful. The Lake District National Park site has walking routes and details about Whinlatter.
