Fell Foot Lodge - Burnside Park

Fell Foot Lodge is on Burnside Park. The park's about a fifteen minute walk from the centre of Keswick, so you're close to the shops but it's quiet. The lodge is one of many on the park, but it's detached and you have your own decking out the back.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and in good order. The living area is all open plan, so it's good for being together.

You can see the fells from the decking, mainly Latrigg and Skiddaw. The park itself is on a bit of a slope, so the views are good. It's a straightforward base for getting out.

Keswick has everything you need: pubs, places to eat, a big co-op, and lots of outdoor shops. The park entrance is just off the A66, so driving to other parts of the Lakes is easy. You can walk into town, or up Latrigg from the park, which is a good short hike.

In terms of things to do, Derwentwater is about a twenty minute walk. You can get a boat from there. For a longer drive, Buttermere is stunning and it's about half an hour. The Lake District National Park site is useful for planning walks. If you're into history, Hadrian's Wall is about an hour's drive to the north.

What's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
