Bram Crag Barn is a converted barn just outside Legburthwaite. It's detached and on the same bit of land as our house and a couple of lodges, but it's private. The views are good. You can see Helvellyn and Blencathra from here.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating which means it's well set up and comfortable.
The main living area is upstairs. That was to get the views. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining area and sitting room are all together. There's a woodburning stove for chilly evenings. The table seats eight.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there. For facilities, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
You can walk straight out from the barn onto the fells. For a pint or a meal, the nearest pub is about two and a half miles away in Thirlspot. The nearest shop is in St John's in the Vale, about four and a half miles.
You're right in the middle of the Northern Lakes. Keswick is about a 15 minute drive. The A66 is close by, so getting to Penrith or up to the coast at Workington is straightforward.
