2 Harney Peak
2 Harney Peak is in Portinscale, which is a quiet village just outside Keswick. It's a converted apartment, part of what used to be a hotel. It's on the ground floor.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was refurbished a couple of years ago, so it's in good order. It's open plan inside.
You can walk into Keswick from here. It's about a mile along the footpath. Or it's a two minute drive. Keswick has all the shops, pubs and places to eat you'd need.
The local pub in the village is fine. There's a café and a restaurant here too. Derwentwater is right on the doorstep, and there are two marinas. Good for getting out on the water or just walking by the lake.
The Whinlatter Forest Park is about a fifteen minute drive. They've got mountain biking trails and Go Ape there.
For a wider view of what's around: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one, and storage for bikes. No pets.
