2 Harney Peak
2 Harney Peak is an apartment in Portinscale. It’s on the ground floor of what used to be a hotel. It was all done up again in 2022.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s open-plan, so you’re not shut away in the kitchen.
Portinscale is quiet. There’s a cafe, a restaurant, and a pub here. You can walk along the footpath to Derwentwater or into Keswick. Keswick is about a mile away. You can leave the car in the dedicated parking space, we have space for two cars, and walk or get the bus from there.
From here, you’re right in the northern Lakes. The footpath network starts practically at the door. For water activities, the two marinas are just in the village. Whinlatter Forest is a short drive away for mountain biking or Go Ape.
Keswick has all the shops, pubs and restaurants you’d need. It’s a proper town. You can get a steamer from there out onto the lake.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. A cot is available. There’s on-site parking.
