Hindscarth
Hindscarth is a second-floor apartment on a quiet street just off the main road in Keswick. You can walk to the shops and pubs in a couple of minutes. It's had some work done recently, so it's fresh.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, which is comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The main thing is the light. It's got windows on three sides, so you get sun most of the day. The view from the living room window is across the rooftops to the fells. You can see Catbells, Grisedale Pike, Skiddaw, things like that. You can sit with a cup of tea and just watch the light change on them.
You get a parking space right next to the building entrance, which is a big plus in Keswick.
It's about a ten minute walk down to Hope Park and the shore of Derwentwater. Fitz Park is the other way, over the River Greta, and that's got a playground if you need one.
Keswick is a good base for getting out. You're right in the middle of the northern fells. For planning walks, the Lake District National Park site has all the details. The National Trust looks after a lot of the land around here too.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
