Bridge House is in Threlkeld. It's a three-bedroom stone cottage and it sleeps five. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable, but it's not a show home.
You get one bathroom. You can bring up to two dogs.
The location is the main thing. You walk out the door and you're basically in the village. There are two pubs down the road, both do food. One has a good restaurant. The bus to Keswick stops opposite the pub. It runs about once an hour and takes you to the town in ten minutes.
If you turn left at the side of the cottage, you're on the footpath up Blencathra straight away. You don't need to drive to start a walk.
The cottage itself has been done up. There are oak beams and the original sash windows. The living area is bigger than you might expect from the front. There's a slate fireplace with a wood burner. The furniture is fine, nothing fancy.
Outside, there's a private bit of patio at the front with a table and chairs. You can sit there and look towards Clough Head.
It's got a TV, a DVD player, and the WiFi is decent because it's on fibre broadband. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking.
Keswick is four miles away for supermarkets, shops, and the lake. The northern fells are right there. The central Lakes like Langdale and Borrowdale are within a half hour drive.
