The Mill is in Mungrisdale. It's a stone cottage, detached. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
It used to be a corn mill. The original water wheel is still there, it’s about fifteen feet tall. You can see it from the living room window. The beams are low in a few places, just so you know.
There's a pub right next door, The Mill Inn. It does food. The cottage has its own garden with a patio and a barbecue. You can park on site.
You can walk straight from the door. Follow the river up towards Blencathra if you're up for it. For something easier, Bowscale Tarn is nice. Local fishing is available on the river.
Keswick is about twenty minutes by car. It has a big supermarket, shops, and a cinema. Penrith is roughly half an hour away with the M6 if you need it.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
For planning walks, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The National Trust has a lot of local places too.
