The Mill is our place in Mungrisdale. It's a cottage, but it's an old mill building. It's detached, so no one is right on top of you.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside but the old beams and feel are still there. It's comfortable.
You can walk straight from the door. The river runs right by the garden. There are good walks up onto Bannerdale Crags and Blencathra from here, or easier ones around Swinside and Bowscale Tarn. The Mill Inn pub is next door. It's been there for centuries. Wordsworth and Coleridge supposedly ended up there once. It does food.
Keswick is about eight miles away for bigger shops. The northern Lake District fells are all around you. For planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful. Also, National Trust Lake District for their nearby places like Aira Force.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. The garden has a patio and a BBQ. There's parking. We include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
