Sycamore Cottage Ellonby

Sycamore Cottage is in Ellonby. It's a barn conversion, in the grounds of our place. It's very quiet here. You're not in the National Park itself, but it's a few minutes' drive to the edge of it. You get the peace without the queues.

It sleeps three. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not big, but it's got everything you need. The shower is good.

You can bring one dog. There's a small garden area that's just for you. Parking is right outside.

There are a couple of decent pubs nearby that do food and welcome dogs. The closest one, in Skelton, has a Michelin star if you fancy that. It's about a mile away.

You're about 15 minutes from the northern lakes, like Bassenthwaite. Keswick is maybe 25 minutes. Carlisle and the Scottish borders are half an hour or so if you fancy a different day out. The Eden Valley is on your doorstep, which is lovely and a bit quieter.

We live on site, so if you have any problems we're here. My wife and I are Blue Badge Guides. We know a lot about the area. If you wanted to book us for a guided walk or a tour, you'd need to arrange it in advance.

For facilities, it's got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can put a cot in there if you need it.
