Sycamore Cottage
Sycamore Cottage is in Ellonby, in Cumbria. It's a barn conversion in the grounds of our house, so it's a quiet spot. You get your own patio and garden area.
It sleeps three, in one bedroom with a double and a single bed. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfy, not luxurious. You can bring one dog.
The WiFi works fine for emails and browsing. There's a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding is included, and we can put a cot in the main room if you need one.
You're just outside the Lake District National Park boundary here, so it's peaceful but you can get to the busier bits easily. Keswick is about a 25 minute drive. The Eden Valley is on your doorstep too. Carlisle and the Scottish Borders are within half an hour if you fancied a change.
There are a few good pubs nearby that do food and are fine with dogs. The closest is in Skelton, a mile away. My wife and I are Blue Badge Guides for the area, so we know a fair bit about the history and walks. If you were interested in hiring us for a guided day out, you'd need to arrange it with us before you come.
