The Wheat Shed is out near Morton, about ten miles from Penrith. It's a converted barn, on a working farm. You'll see sheep and cattle in the fields.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. The main one is a wet room, and it's on the ground floor, which is useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order.
You're by yourself, but there's another cottage called The Bothy next door if a bigger group wanted to book both together.
The kitchen is open plan. You've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right there. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
The local pub does food and is about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is in Culgaith, three miles.
You're in a good spot for the Lakes without being right in the middle of it. Ullswater is about a twenty-minute drive. You can get boat trips from there. Keswick and the northern fells are maybe half an hour. If you want a proper town, Penrith has supermarkets and the railway station.
