The Bothy
The Bothy is on our farm in Morton, about ten miles from Penrith. It's a semi-detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. You have your own garden bit. It’s a working farm with sheep and cattle.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order. The doorways are standard, not particularly low.
There's a pub that does food about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is in Penrith, about three miles.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District here. Ullswater is the closest big lake, about a fifteen minute drive. You can get the steamer from there. Good walking straight from the door, or a short drive gets you to some proper fells.
For a day out, Lowther Castle is very close. Rheged, the visitor centre near Penrith, has a cinema and shops. Keswick is about half an hour's drive.
In the place you'll find a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm animals.
