Ellerton Croft is a house on our farm. It's detached, so you won't hear anyone else. The house looks out over the farmyard and fields.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy with a big group. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is modern and in good order.
The kitchen is big, with a table that seats everyone. There's a woodburner in the sitting room for cooler evenings. The patio doors open onto your own garden, which has a hot tub.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors. The house is in Mellguards, which is just outside Carlisle. It's right off the M6, junction 44, so it's easy to get to from north or south.
Carlisle is about ten minutes away by car. It has a castle and the main shops. Penrith is about twenty minutes in the other direction.
You're well placed for the Lakes, the Eden Valley, and Hadrian's Wall. The Lake District National Park is a half hour drive to the south. Scotland is just over the border to the north.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for three cars. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
