This is the Old Reading Room in Cotehill. It's a detached cottage, used to be the village reading room. We did it all up a couple of years ago, so everything's new and works properly.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. You get towels and bedding. It's got a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evenings. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all open plan.
There's a pub about a hundred yards away that does food. The nearest shop is three miles away in Cumrew, so you'll want to bring things with you.
It's a good spot for getting out. You're right between the Lake District and the North Pennines. Brampton is about ten minutes drive, Carlisle is twenty. Hadrian's Wall is very close, you can be at Birdoswald in fifteen minutes. If you want to go further, Scotland isn't much more than half an hour away.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking right next to the cottage and WiFi.
