The Annex Aglionby

The Annex is in Aglionby, near Carlisle. It’s attached to our house, but it's completely separate. You get your own entrance and parking space outside. It’s very quiet here.

It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, with the bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and everything works. The stairs are steep. It's fine if you’re reasonably steady.

The living area is all one room downstairs. There’s a sofa, TV, and the kitchen area. It's got a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

You’re about two minutes from the M6 junction. It’s handy, but you don't hear the motorway. Carlisle is five minutes by car. It’s got the castle, the cathedral, and all the shops.

The Lake District National Park is maybe a 25-minute drive to the south. You can get to Penrith, Ullswater, or Keswick easily. Hadrian's Wall is about 20 minutes to the east. If you head north, you're in Scotland in under half an hour.

There’s bike storage if you bring them. Fishing is available locally. There’s a golf course nearby.
