The Coach House is in Cotehill, near Carlisle. It's a detached old coach house, so it's on its own in the garden. It's comfortable and warm. The rating is 3 Star, so it's good and clean without being over the top.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. We take one dog.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's parking right there. Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding is included. You've got WiFi and a TV.
One thing people mention is the railway. The Settle to Carlisle line runs at the bottom of the field. You can see the steam trains go past sometimes. It's not constant, but you do notice it.
The local shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Cumwhinton. The pub does food.
Carlisle is about ten minutes by car. It's a proper city with a castle and shops. Brampton is a nice little town not much further.
You're in a good spot for getting out. Hadrian's Wall is about twenty minutes east. The northern Lake District, like Keswick or Penrith, is under half an hour south. You can be in Scotland in under an hour if the traffic's alright.
If you like fishing, there's local river fishing. Details are in the cottage when you arrive.
