Swallow Cottage
Swallow Cottage is in Hawksdale, near Dalston. It's a converted barn. I live on the same site in the other farmhouse.
It's studio-style, so it's all one room. It sleeps two. The bathroom has a bath with mood lighting and a TV on the wall. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfy and clean, not luxurious.
You've got your own patio. There's parking right outside. It's very quiet here, just fields and fells. Good for walking straight from the door.
There are two pubs in the village, about half a mile walk. The shop is in Dalston, a bit further.
Carlisle is about a 20 minute drive for shops or the castle. Keswick and the proper Lake District are about 30 minutes south. The coast at Allonby is about 40 minutes.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, bedding and towels are included, and you can park here. No pets.
