Pheasant Cottage is in Hawksdale, near Dalston. It's one of two converted barns on the same site. I live in the other one, so I'm around if you need anything, but you've got your own space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and warm. It's not a show home, it's a solid place to come back to after being out.
There's a patio with a table and chairs. It's private. The living area is all open plan, so if someone's cooking, they're not cut off.
You're a half mile walk from a pub that does food. The shop is about a mile and a half away in Dalston, so it's worth stocking up. Carlisle is five miles east for bigger shops.
You're right on the edge of the Caldbeck Fells for walking straight from the door. Keswick and the main Lake District are about a 30 minute drive south. The Lake District National Park site has good walking routes.
The Solway coast is about 20 miles away if you fancy a change from the fells.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
