Pheasant Cottage
Pheasant Cottage is in Hawksdale. It's a barn conversion, one of a pair, and we live on the same site but not in your way.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. The main room is open plan, which works well.
You've got your own patio area outside. It's quiet here, just fields and fells. You can walk straight out from the door.
The local pub is about half a mile down the lane. It does food. The nearest shop is a mile and a half away in Dalston, so you'll want to bring your groceries with you.
Carlisle is about five miles east if you need the city or the train station. For the proper Lakes, Keswick is roughly a 25 minute drive. That gets you into the Lake District National Park. The northern fells around Skiddaw are accessible from there.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's WiFi, a TV, parking right outside, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
