Foxhole is ours. It's in Threlkeld, right at the bottom of Blencathra. It's an end-of-terrace cottage, one of the older ones in the village.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. The ceilings are low in some rooms, and the floors aren't perfectly level. That's just how it is. The stairs are fine but they're cottage stairs, so narrower than modern ones. There's a wood burner in the living room.
The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The garden has space for one car to park. It's a small garden, but it looks straight out at the fells.
You can walk straight out the door onto Blencathra or over towards Skiddaw. The path along the old railway line into Keswick starts in the village. That's about three miles. Keswick has everything you need: shops, places to eat, a cinema, the lake. There's a bus that runs through the village too.
There are two pubs within a few hundred yards. The Horse and Farrier does good food. The Salutation is more straightforward pub grub. There's a children's playground just down the road.
We've left some toys, games, and walking maps in the cottage. You're welcome to use them.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
