Forge Cottage

Forge Cottage is in Keswick. It's off the A66, up a quiet side road above the river.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s got a 5 Star rating. The place is clean, warm and well looked after.

The layout is upside down. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's where you get the view over the River Greta. There's a wood burner. The stairs down to the bedrooms are a proper spiral staircase. They’re fine, but you have to mind your head and take it steady.

From the front door, you can walk into Keswick town centre in about 15 minutes. Or you can walk the other way up onto Latrigg. The path to Blencathra is close by too.

Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake are a short walk through Hope Park. You can get the launch boats from there. The park has putting greens and a pitch and putt course.

The cottage has parking for one car. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
