Brow Riding
This is Brow Riding. It's a bungalow in Keswick, up in a quiet residential bit. The whole place is on one level, which is handy.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a shower over the bath, the other is a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was all done up a couple of years ago.
The main thing is the view. The kitchen diner has big windows looking out over the fells. You can see Blencathra, Skiddaw, Grisedale Pike, Catbells. All of them. There are sliding doors out to a raised patio, which is sheltered. Good spot to watch the sunset.
The garden is private and gets the sun in the afternoon. There's parking for two cars on the drive. The single garage is useful if you've brought bikes or kayaks.
It's about a ten minute walk into Keswick town centre for shops and pubs. So you can leave the car.
Inside, there's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Good for wet coats and boots. The place has WiFi and a TV.
For days out, you're right in the middle of it. Latrigg is practically on the doorstep. Derwentwater is a short walk down into town. You can be up Skiddaw or over to Borrowdale in no time.
The whole of the Lake District is accessible from here. Buttermore, Ullswater, Grasmere are all within a half hour drive.
