Brundholme Glen

Brundholme Glen is in Keswick. It's a terraced cottage right on the River Greta. The main thing is the location. You can walk into the centre of Keswick in about five minutes through Fitz Park. It's flat, which is good.

The cottage sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so everything is in good order. The garden at the back is enclosed, which is useful if you've got dogs. We take up to two.

Facilities are what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot.

Keswick has everything you need: shops, pubs, a supermarket. For bigger days out, you're in the middle of it all. Derwentwater is a short drive or a decent walk. Cat Bells is a popular climb from there.

Within half an hour you can be at Ullswater, or up at Whinlatter Forest for the mountain bike trails. Further into the Borrowdale valley as well. For wider planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and so is the National Trust for the Lake District.
