Royal Views is a one-bedroom apartment right in the centre of Keswick. The name's a bit grand, but to be honest, it's because you can see a bit of the hills from the front window. It's not a fancy place, it's a 3 Star, but it's clean and it works.
The main thing is the location. You're next door to George Fisher, the climbing shop. You can get to all the pubs, restaurants and shops without using the car. The Theatre by the Lake and the cinema are a few minutes walk away. Derwentwater is about a five minute walk through Hope Park.
The apartment is up a few flights of external stone steps. They're not too bad if you're alright with stairs, but it's worth knowing.
It's for two people. There's one bathroom with a shower. The facilities are all there: TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. There's one parking space on site, which is useful in Keswick.
You can walk or drive to most of the Northern Lakes from here. Borrowdale is a short drive, and you're on the doorstep for Catbells or Latrigg if you're walking. For a wider view of things to do, the Lake District National Park website has all the details on footpaths, cycling and lakes.
