Hey Down is in Keswick, a few minutes walk from the main street. It's a terraced house, built from local stone. There's a small enclosed garden out the back. You get a view of the fells from the front.
It sleeps five people. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, so it's well looked after and comfortable. The stairs are a typical cottage pitch.
You can walk to everything in town. The River Greta is literally at the end of the road. Fitz Park is just across the bridge. The shops, pubs, and restaurants are about a five minute walk.
For a day out on the water, Derwentwater is about a fifteen minute walk. You can hire rowing boats or take the launch from there. Some good walking starts right from the door. For bigger walks, Skiddaw and Blencathra are right there. You can drive to the foot of them in about ten minutes.
Within a half hour drive you've got places like Castlerigg Stone Circle, Whinlatter Forest, and the drive over Honister Pass.
The house has a wood burning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's on-site parking for one car. The entrance has wheelchair access, but the rest of the house is over two floors with the stairs I mentioned.
