This is 5 The Plosh in Keswick. It's a traditional Lakeland cottage, stone built, right in the middle of things. The front door opens onto a small street about a minute's walk from the market square.
It sleeps two. There are two bedrooms and two shower rooms, which is useful if you're two friends sharing or if you just want the space. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was renovated a while back so it's clean and works well, but it's not a show home. The floors are slate and wood.
The layout is a bit different. The kitchen is downstairs on the lower ground floor. It's a good size and has a door out to the back. The living room is on the ground floor and has patio doors that open onto a small balcony. The stairs to the bedrooms are a spiral staircase. They're fine, but mind your head.
You're right in Keswick. The shop, a pub, and restaurants are literally 50 yards away. You don't need to drive for anything in the town.
For walking, you can be on the path around Derwentwater in about ten minutes on foot. The fells are right there. You can drive to Borrowdale or the Whinlatter forest in under twenty minutes. Honister Pass is about fifteen minutes by car.
Facilities: it has a wood burner, Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets.
