The Hoggest And Annexe
The Hoggest is a stone farm building we've done up, just outside Threlkeld village. It sleeps eight, and there's a separate annexe for another four, so twelve in total. You get both buildings if you book it, so there's a bit of space for people to spread out.
It's got six bedrooms and five bathrooms between the two places. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's properly finished and everything's included. It's wheelchair friendly to get in, and there's a wet room on the ground floor.
The main thing is the view. It's at the foot of Blencathra and you get a full circle of fells. You can see right down St. John's in the Vale. The living room has big folding doors that open right onto it.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The kitchen has what you'd need. There's a hot tub outside.
Threlkeld has a golf course and two decent pubs serving food. Keswick is about ten minutes by car for bigger shops and the theatre. You can walk straight onto the fells from the door.
For a day out, Keswick has the lake and the market. The National Trust has a lot of walks nearby. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning.
Facilities wise: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. No pets.
