Doddick Beck is in Scales, on the edge of the Lake District. It's a small, single-storey cottage for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and simple.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out at Blencathra and the fells. There's a beck running past the garden, which is nice to hear. You get a parking space right outside.
It's a good spot for walking. You can step out the door and be on a footpath straight away. Threlkeld is a couple of miles walk along the river, or a short drive. There are a couple of good pubs there. Keswick is about five miles away for shops, cafes, and the Theatre by the Lake. The A66 is close by, which makes getting around straightforward.
You're right next to the Keswick Golf Club if that's your thing. You'll often see red squirrels around the garden. They're fed by a neighbour.
Inside, it's all on one level. The entrance and doorways are wheelchair accessible. There's a TV, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two pets. It's part of a small group of cottages on a working farm, so you might see sheep in the fields.
If you need more room, the cottage next door, Scaley Beck, can be booked together with this one.
