Kingstarn is a big Victorian town house in Keswick. It's in a normal residential street, not right in the centre but it's only a few minutes' walk to the shops. A lot of the rooms have good views of the fells.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. There's also a nursery room for a baby. It's got a 4 Star rating, so everything is in good order. It works well for two families or a group of walkers.
There are two sitting rooms. One is up in the attic. It's handy if some people want to watch something different on TV. The dining table extends to seat twelve.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a patio and a garden.
You can walk straight out from the house onto the fells. Keswick town centre is close for cafes, pubs, and the supermarket. The theatre by the lake is a ten minute walk.
For longer drives, you're right in the northern Lakes. Buttermere is about twenty minutes away. Ullswater is maybe twenty five. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks and checking for any alerts. The National Trust also looks after a lot of places nearby, like Borrowdale.
Facilities are all there: wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
