Kingstarn

Kingstarn is a big Victorian townhouse in Keswick. It's in a normal residential street, a short walk from the middle of town. It's not a remote cottage, you've got neighbours, but it's quiet. The house gets a lot of light.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. There's also a nursery room and two separate living rooms. It works well for two families or a bigger group. One of the living rooms is up in the attic, which is a good spot for older kids to get some space.

The stairs are a bit of a feature. They're the original ones, so they're steep and narrow in places. Just something to be aware of.

You get decent views from some of the rooms. You can see Skiddaw and Walla Crag from the upstairs windows.

Keswick town centre is a five minute walk. All the shops, pubs, and the market are there. You can start walking straight from the door into the fells. Derwentwater is about a fifteen minute walk.

Within half an hour you can drive to a lot of the central Lakes. Borrowdale, Buttermere, Thirlmere. For a bigger day out, National Trust Lake District has all their properties listed, like Wordsworth's house or Wray Castle.

The house has what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a cot and a highchair. Bedding is included. The garden is paved, it's a sitting area. You can bring up to two dogs.
