4 The Plosh

4 The Plosh is in Keswick. It's a cottage, but right in the town, about 100 yards from the main square. It's surprisingly quiet given where it is.

It's just for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so think comfortable and practical, not luxury holiday home.

The layout is a bit unusual. It's over three floors. You come in on the middle floor to the lounge. Kitchen and shower room are down a flight of stairs from there. The bedroom is up another flight from the lounge. Just be aware of that.

The cottage isn't new. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow. The fireplace in the lounge is ornamental, it doesn't work, but it's nice to look at.

Keswick is right there. George Fisher's shop is a minute's walk. All the pubs, restaurants, and cafes are on your doorstep. You don't need the car once you're here.

Derwentwater is a ten minute walk down to the lake. You can get boats from there. For bigger walks, you're straight into the fells. Skiddaw is right behind the town.

Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
