The Rowans
The Rowans is in a quiet part of Keswick. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one floor. That's handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fine. It's clean and it works.
The garden is open plan, so it's not fenced off from the neighbours' bits. You get to use it, but you might see someone else out there. The view from the sitting room is the best part. You can see Latrigg and Skiddaw from the window.
It's about a ten minute walk into the middle of Keswick. There's a pub a few minutes away. It's a local, not a tourist spot.
You're right on the edge of town so you can walk straight out onto the fells. Latrigg is an easy climb from here. For a proper day out, Derwentwater is a short drive or a decent walk. The launch trips from there are good.
The northern lakes are easy from here. Bassenthwaite is ten minutes by car. Ullswater is about twenty minutes. For a big walk, you can drive to the Honister Pass in fifteen.
Facilities are straightforward. There's parking, wifi, a washing machine. Bedding is included. We allow one dog.
