Beny Cot
Beny Cot is on a street in Keswick about a hundred yards from the market square. It's stone-built, terraced, but it has its own garden at the back. You also get a parking space out front, which is a real help in town.
It sleeps five people in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs up to the attic bedroom are quite steep, as you'd expect. That top room has futons and an old PlayStation.
The town centre is a two minute walk. There are shops, cafes, and pubs right there. Fitz Park is just across the road, which has a good children's play area and a bowling green.
You can walk to the shore of Derwentwater in about ten minutes. The town is a good base for the fells. Whinlatter Forest is about ten minutes by car for mountain biking. For a wider view of the area, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
The cottage has a wood burning stove in the living room. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
