Beny Cot is in Keswick, a few minutes walk from the market square. It's a stone cottage, like a lot of them around here. The main thing is it has its own parking space and a small enclosed garden out the back. That's quite rare for somewhere so central.
It sleeps five people in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. One of the bedrooms is up in the attic with futons, a TV, and an old Playstation 2. Kids tend to like that. The stairs up there are fairly steep, just so you know.
The wood burner in the lounge works well. The kitchen has what you'd need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You're right by Fitz Park, which has a play area and bowling green. The leisure pool is next to that. Shops, pubs, and places to eat are basically on the doorstep, all within a hundred yards or so.
For getting out, you can walk to Derwentwater. The fells are right there. Whinlatter Forest is about a fifteen minute drive for mountain biking. You can hire kayaks or go for a boat trip on the lake.
If you're planning to visit other parts of the Lakes or do some walking, these sites are useful: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
No pets, I'm afraid.
