Brookside Cottage
Brookside Cottage is in Braithwaite village. It's terraced, right on the Coledale Beck, so you get the sound of the stream out the front.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bathrooms were redone a few years back. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is good for cooler evenings.
Outside, there's a small front garden with a table and chairs. It gets the sun and looks over the beck.
Braithwaite itself has a village shop and two pubs, both do food. Keswick is only a couple of miles away for bigger shops and things.
For walks, you can start right from the door. Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike are there. Whinlatter Forest Park is just behind the village for mountain biking. Bassenthwaite Lake is close if you're into sailing.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid.
