Brookside Cottage is in Braithwaite. It's a terraced house right by the beck, so you can hear the water.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bathrooms were done up a few years ago. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean.
There’s a small front garden with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, there’s a woodburner in the living room. The stairs are standard for a cottage. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there’s a washing machine too. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot.
Braithwaite itself is handy. There’s a village shop and two pubs, both do food. Keswick is a few minutes down the road for bigger shops.
For walking, you can step straight out onto the fells. Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike are right there. Whinlatter Forest, just behind the village, is good for mountain biking. Bassenthwaite Lake is about ten minutes by car if you want to go sailing.
