Stybarrow View Cottage
This is Stybarrow View Cottage. It's in Glenridding, right by Ullswater.
It's a traditional slate cottage in a little row. You get an enclosed garden at the back that faces southeast. The main thing about it is the view. You can sit out there and just look straight up at the fells. It's quite good for the sun.
Inside, it sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is four star, so it's comfortable. It's got everything you'd need. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
The location is the main point. You're in the Lake District National Park. You can walk straight from the door. The village shop and a couple of pubs are a couple of minutes' walk away. You can do water sports on the lake from the village, and the Ullswater steamer leaves from just down the road.
If you want to drive, you can go over Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside and Windermere. That's about a half hour drive, maybe a bit more if the traffic is bad. Keswick is about twenty minutes in the other direction.
