Stybarrow View Cottage
Stybarrow View Cottage is in Glenridding, right by Ullswater. It’s one of a short row of slate cottages. The back garden faces south east and has a good view of the fells. It’s enclosed.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. It's a traditional cottage, so the ceilings are normal height and the doors are a bit lower than modern ones.
The village is about 200 metres away. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, and places that do water sports hire. You can walk straight out of the door onto the fells. The Ullswater steamer pier is just down the road.
You’re right in the middle of the Lake District National Park. It’s a good spot for getting around. Windermere and Ambleside are over the Kirkstone Pass, about a 30 minute drive. Keswick and Penrith are about the same the other way.
For facilities, it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There’s a BBQ in the garden. Sorry, no pets.
If you're planning walks or days out, the National Trust looks after a lot of the land around Ullswater and their site is useful.
