3 Highrake
This is 3 Highrake. It's a stone cottage on the side of the mountain above Glenridding. The view is over towards the valley. You can see it from the living room window.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got the 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home.
You can walk straight out of the door onto the fells. You can get up Helvellyn from here without using the car. The path to the nearest pub is about a quarter of a mile down the lane. Glenridding village is half a mile for shops and cafes.
If you do drive, Ambleside and Windermere are over the Kirkstone Pass. Keswick is about the same distance the other way. Both are a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic.
Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and a small garden area. Parking is right outside. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding is included and we can provide a travel cot.
