This is Brodie Cottage in Aspatria. It's an end-terrace house we renovated a few years ago. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms, which is handy.
It has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main room has a dining area and a large gas fire that looks like a wood burner. It’s good for chilly evenings. There's a private courtyard out the back with some lighting. You can sit out there.
Aspatria itself is a small town. It's not a tourist village, but it's a useful spot. You can get to the coast or into the Lake District mountains quite easily from here. The nearest beach is about six or seven miles away. There's a shop a few minutes' walk down the road, and a pub and a restaurant are about half a mile away.
Cockermouth is about a 15 minute drive. It's a nice town to wander around, and it has the Jennings Brewery if you're interested in that sort of thing. Keswick is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes. That's the main hub for outdoor activities around here.
For facilities: there's WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and Sky TV with Netflix. Bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets, sorry.
