Sunset View is in Yearngill. That's a hamlet, really. It's at the end of a farm lane, so it's quiet. You look out over fields.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. It's got two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It used to be a sandstone stable block, so the walls are thick and some of the original features are still there. It's been done up well.
You get a patio with that view. It's a good spot to sit. The garden is yours.
West Newton village is about a mile and a half away for basics. Aspatria town is the same distance for more shops.
The coast is about five miles. There are sandy beaches that way. Silloth is a proper Victorian seaside town with a good golf course. Maryport and Whitehaven are old ports with marinas now, if you like boats.
Cockermouth is twelve miles. Keswick is a bit further, maybe twenty. You can drive along Bassenthwaite Lake to get there, which is nice. Keswick has markets and boat trips on Derwent Water.
Carlisle isn't far for a city day. And obviously, you're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. All the walking and scenery is there.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, parking right outside, and bedding is included. A highchair is here if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you want to look things up before you come, National Trust Lake District has good info on places to visit.
