Aden Barn is in Allonby, on the Cumbrian coast. It's a terraced barn conversion on a cobbled street. The front is mostly glass, a full-length galleried window, so it's very light inside.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The conversion is done well, solid wood floors, it's clean and comfortable. It's open plan downstairs.
You're about 100 yards from the beach. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walking. The views across the Solway Firth to Scotland are quite something. The village has a reputation for windsurfing.
There's a pub and a restaurant about 40 yards away. A shop is 150 yards. The ice cream shop on the front is famous, people do come for it.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot available. No pets, I'm afraid.
For walking, you're on the edge of the Lake District. The Western Lakes are quieter. Maryport is a short drive south. Cockermouth, where Wordsworth was born, is about a twenty minute drive inland. The National Trust has several properties and walks in the area, and the Lake District National Park site is useful for planning.
