Greengill Farm Holiday Cottage
Greengill Farm Holiday Cottage is one of two places on our working farm. It's a barn conversion, semi-detached from the other place. You're just outside the village of Gilcrux.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is unusual. All the bedrooms are on the ground floor and each one has its own walk-in shower room. The living area, kitchen, and dining space are all upstairs on the first floor. It's open plan.
It's got a 5 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. There's a private hot tub outside in the garden, which is enclosed.
The farm is beef and arable, so you'll see cattle and crops. The village pub and bistro in Gilcrux is about half a mile away. You can walk there along a quiet lane.
You're on the western edge of the Lake District National Park. Cockermouth is about a 20-minute drive. Keswick is about the same. The coast at Allonby is roughly 5 miles.
For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can store bicycles. There's parking on site. No pets.
