Greengill Farm Holiday Cottage
Greengill Farm Holiday Cottage is on our working farm, just outside Gilcrux. It's a semi-detached barn conversion. We're a mile from the village.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. They're all on the ground floor which is handy. Each bedroom has its own walk-in shower room. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all upstairs in one open space. That's the main quirk. You go upstairs to sit down.
There's a private enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. It's west-facing, so you get the evening sun. The hot tub is there too.
Being on a farm, you'll see cattle in the fields. The lane to the village is quiet and fine for a walk. The pub and bistro in Gilcrux are about a mile away. The nearest shop is five miles, in Aspatria.
It's a good spot for the western and northern Lakes. Cockermouth is about 15 minutes by car. Keswick is about 20 minutes. The coast at Allonby is about 15 minutes the other way.
For facilities, it's got pretty much everything: WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
