Willow Cottage is in Cockermouth. It's a terraced cottage, one of three in a little row built a long time ago, in 1844. It's about a minute's walk to the main street.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside, so it's modern and clean. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need. Parking is on-site, which is handy because you really don't need the car once you're here.
The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They're fine, just mind your head a bit.
You're right in the town. There are pubs, cafes, and shops on the doorstep. The National Trust's Wordsworth House is literally across the road. The castle ruins are a five-minute walk, down where the two rivers meet.
Cockermouth is on the edge of the Lake District. It's about a 20-minute drive to Keswick. Bassenthwaite Lake is nearby if you want to be by the water. Whinlatter Forest is good for a bike ride or a walk, and Buttermere is a fantastic drive through the valley.
For a wider view of what's around, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
