Briar Bank Bungalow is a semi-detached place on the edge of Cockermouth. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's useful if you've got anyone who doesn't like stairs.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean without any fuss. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it's secure if you're bringing a dog. You can sit out there if the weather's decent.
The place is about half a mile from the town centre. There's a shop and a couple of pubs you can walk to. Cockermouth itself is a proper market town. It has the usual shops, a few places to eat, and Wordsworth's birthplace if you're interested in that.
For getting out, it's a good spot. You're ten or fifteen minutes' drive from places like Loweswater and Buttermere. The scenery around there is very nice. Ennerdale and Wast Water are a bit further, maybe twenty to thirty minutes. The coast at the Solway Firth is about twenty minutes north.
If you fancy a day trip, Carlisle is under an hour's drive. You can see the castle and bits of Hadrian's Wall from there.
What's here: parking for one car right outside. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot if you need one. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
